How it all works and T&Cs
It’s all very simple…
Once you’ve decided on a vehicle, and confirmed your dates you can submit a booking request.
When approved you’ll be asked to pay the full hire balance and deposit, you can pay via BACS (Wire transfer) or with a credit or debit card. Once the total has been paid, your dates are reserved.
We’ll reach out to arrange any details for your trip via the website’s messaging system and when you’re good to go you can head over on your chosen pickup date.
On the day we’ll run you through the paperwork required, show you how to use your chosen companion and then your adventure begins! You can even leave your car with us, safely parked on our drive. For any queries please use the Contact section above.
General Rental Agreement
It is an insurance requirement that we must take a copy of your driving license as well as two different proof of addresses for each of the intended drivers of the vehicle. This can be provided prior to your pickup date to get you on the road and on with your trip faster. We also require a £1000 deposit to be transferred before the booking can be confirmed which will be returned upon the return of the vehicle in a satisfactory state (See more below under sections Damage, Cleaning, Mileage and Fuel). All records will be stored securely and deleted after 6 months.
Our vehicles are pre-loved, which of course means that they come with some cosmetic wear and tear. As part of the induction on site we’ll take you through a quick walk around the vehicle to point out any known damage. This is an opportunity for you to understand the condition of the vehicle and point out anything we might have missed! If there is any damage to the vehicle or the equipment upon return, the cost of repair or replacement will be deducted from the deposit. The repair work will be carried out by a reputable garage, and equipment replaced like for like, receipts will be retained and provided for the renters record.
The vehicles will be provided to you in a clean, sterilised and stocked state. That means all plates, cutlery, pots and pans will be cleaned, all surfaces cleaned and sterilised, grey water tank emptied and potable water topped up as requested by you, the renter. Please return the vehicle in the same state that you received it. Any required cleaning, other than disinfecting, will be deducted from the deposit at £15/hour cleaning time.
There is no mileage limit, and in the unlikely event of a breakdown we have RAC breakdown cover. Just give them a call and let us know about the interruption to your adventure.
Similarly to the cleaning section, the vehicle will be provided with a full tank of fuel. Please return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel. Any required top ups will be deducted from the deposit at the fuel cost + £10 for T&E.
If you are unable to make your trip and need to cancel, the following cancellation charges will apply. Cancellation within:
24 hours prior to departure: 100% of the rental fee
1 week prior to departure: 70% of the rental fee
2 weeks prior to departure: 50% of the rental fee
6 weeks prior to departure: 25% of the rental fee
10 weeks prior to departure: 15% of the rental fee
More than 10 weeks prior to departure: 0% of the rental fee
The deposit is fully refunded when a booking is cancelled.
If you need to cancel due to government restrictions/lockdown then a full refund will be issued.
If you need to cancel due to being instructed to isolate, we ask for a copy of the NHS instruction to isolate in order to issue a full refund.
